Moved into River Park 3 months ago. Since then, it's been nothing but constant partying above and below me. I have voiced my complaints about the noise level to the office staff to no avail. My apartment was not fully cleaned when I moved in, there were paint stains on the kitchen floor, paint all over the carpet, the shared bathroom floor was stained and warped, and the tub in that same bathroom was not caulked. Also, the blinds had slats missing, there is no sprayer or disposal on the sink, and the walls are paper thin. I mean, the guy that lives above me might drop a pencil but to me it sounds like hes beating on the floor with a sledgehammer.

The number 1 reason that this place is so horrible is because they have some kind of deal with the Nascar Technical Institute for their students to live at River Park. These people are young teenagers, and they are allowed to run amok all over this apartment complex. Before I moved in, the office staff told me that they are very strict with these students; if they are working on their car in the parking lot, partying, causing trouble, etc. I should just come and tell the staff and they will take care of it. Well guess what? Every time I go home, there's at least 2-3 groups of rednecks revving their gigantic pickups up to 6,000 rpms and spraying oil all over the parking lot. And the guy that lives below me sells drugs out of his apartment and has like 12 other guys living there illegally and the office staff refuses to do anything about it.

Do yourself a favor, do NOT rent here. If you're lucky enough to get neighbors who dont vibrate your floor until 4 am every night, the apartments themselves are basic, cheaply constructed and totally common. For 700 a month, I could be BUYING A HOUSE. Instead, I am forced to live in a crappy little box with noisy teenagers stomping and playing their bass until the wee hours. The office staff will paint you a pretty picture to get you to sign, and then as soon as they have your signature they tell you 'sorry buddy, can't help you.' There are tons of other properties in the area, DONT LIVE AT RIVER PARK UNLESS YOU HAVE NOWHERE ELSE TO GO!

Hello,
I am the mom of a future NTI student. We were just in NC visiting the school and the area. We now need to find housing for our son. I am quite literally freaking out at all the reviews I have read on pretty much every apartment we looked at while we were there, i.e, Talbert Woods, Willow Creak, Brentwood. They are all horrible!

My son is coming from NY and he is not interested in NASCAR. He is going to UTI for automotive technology and to learn the car business. He is not a redneck and does not drive a truck! I've noticed that many of the reviews that have been posted are anonymous. I wonder how many of these reviews can be trusted? I am responding to this one because it is the most recent posting. Can anyone out there give me any recommendations on adequate housing, near the school where my son will be relatively safe and can get through the next year without too much incident?

Thank you for your help.

Dear, Worried parent My son goes to NTI and he does live at RiverPark Apts...He loves it!The staff is awesome and the apartments are very nice for the rental rates that they charge.I do know they are strick about parting and students working on cars!!because my son told me that they do fine students working on their cars.Anyway my sons lease is expiring soon and he plans to renew and stay at River Park another year!

If you have doubts on the complaints about NTI students call the mooresville police dept and get all the incident reports for these apartment complexs related to NTI students.

At one point, not so much anymore, the police were driving by my apartment firday nights and saturday nights. Parties are ok. But like most college students they get out of hand. The office staff could do a better job of cotrolling it. But the did not. So the situitation just got worse untill a police officer moved into the problem aera. Now the parties just happen else where. To answer the mom who is looking for housing for her son. I recomend finding a house. There are plenty of them for rent in the same aera. And for a lot less. You can probibly contact UTI and they can help you finding a roomate. Good luck with your sons education, i went to a similar school in another state. But we were much better behaved than those who live around me here.
