We made the mistake of moving into Talbert Woods in October of 2001. First problem, not enough parking, they had two handicapped parking spots in front our our building, but yet no handicapped apartments. Then we killed around 15 mice due to the overgrowth at the "so called" pond. Kids were riding bikes down the sidewalks, and in the middle of the parking lot which was very dangerous. When you tried to tell the management they just blew you off. We were missing a floor joist in the upstairs bedroom and we personally knew the code inspector for Iredell County and he said he would not live there because of the problems. We had portions of the parking lot that were non paved for almost 5 months. We had to break our lease due to my husbands job loss, so they let our townhome sit empty for 6 months so they could put the maximum amount on our credit. The managment was completely unsympathetic and told us that if we couldn't pay our rent that they would just evict us. The pond constantly had debris in it and was never fenced completely in.
