Customer service seems to be a concept lost on this apartment management. I have lived at Bexley Preston for 3 months and can't wait until my lease is up. I had an issue where I handed in my rent payment 1 day past the due date. I had no problem paying the late fee because I knew I was late, however the leasing office told me I would have to submit a certified check because my personal check was no longer good. When I told them I did not yet have a local bank because I just moved there from out of state and would have trouble getting them a certified check, they said I could pay online but would have to pay an additional $20 fee to do so. I felt this was ridiculous because this was on a Monday...if I had handed in my check the previous day when according to them it would not have been late, they wouldn't have been able to cash it anyways!! When I told them this made no sense to me they said that was policy and they didn't make exceptions. A few days after we complained to the corporate office, we just happened to get a call from the leasing office saying they received a complaint about our dogs barking. (Note: the complex allows dogs and last time I checked dogs do bark) They proceeded to tell us they called all the surrounding neighbors to find out if we were too loud. Essentially they were soliciting complaints about us.
The leasing office acts very nice when you are signing the lease, but good luck getting customer service if you actually have an issue. I would strongly recommend you do not lease from Weinstein Properties and find a complex that actually cares.
