I moved here 2 years ago for job reasons. For those who do not live in the area, this place is close to the Research Triangle Area which is home to lots of large companies like IBM,Cisco, Nortel, GSK, Sony Ericcson to name a few. The advantages of this apartment:
1. You are close to work but also away from it. 10-15 minutes drive from all these companies.Sometimes you need a breather from the whole RTP environment and this picturesque apartment complex and neighborhood provide that. You are near grocery stores, decent elementary schools,ethnic grocery stores, movie theaters, drugstores, the airport,etc.
2. The area is relatively safe. There are quite a few pricey($800K plus) homes that open up into the golf course across the street from this complex and often those types of neighborhoods often tend to be safe...this is just an opinion.

3. If you're the type that likes to mind your business and live in a place that won't give you any hassles, this is it. Maintenance issues are resolved pretty quickly and the grounds are kept quite nice. You might hear the trains sometimes but you'll hardly notce the sound. I live further in so I don't really hear it.

4.Remember this is just a nice basic apartment with good commute to most places. You can't have everything !
