I went to look at an apartment. I paid an admin fee of $33 and $200 application fee on Sat. They called to tell me my credit was approved on Monday. I decided to stay at my original place and called them on Tuesday to cancel. They would not return my money. They said I only had 24 hours to cancel. Expensive lesson. They are only interested in your money. This gave me a preview of the type of treatment I would be getting in the future. I WILL NOT BE LIVING THERE EVER.

I believe that it's a NC law that you have 72-hours to change your mind and get your administrative fee back. Once your credit is run, you won't get your application fee back.

That 72 hour thing is a myth and is not a law. Once you hand over the money to process the application, that money is lost. That is not anything different from any other apartment property. And no I don't work at this place or for the company
