If you are looking for a nice, respectful and quiet community, do NOT move here!

First, I can't agree more with the complaints about the office staff. They are rude, don't care about the complex and are extremely unresponsive to complaints. Another post mentioned that the only communication they will do is tape a note on your door and run... that is actually a huge step up for them since they didn't feel the need to paste even a note when they were planning to jack hammer all day (8:00AM to 9:00PM) right outside our window! The only good news is, the entire staff changes about once a month, so there is always hope for a more pleasant staff in the future.

Second, the apartments are dated and not well taken care of. When we moved in, our kitchen was disgusting and I spent nearly an entire day removing food splatters and unknown material from the cabinets and fridge. We had to run our dishwasher with an industrial cleaner THREE times to get our dishes to stop smelling like something out of a landfill. Nothing goes better with a cup of coffee then the smell of sewage...

Finally, because the place is dumpy and the staff doesn't care, the tenants also don't care. People throw trash anywhere and everywhere, pump their car stereos as loud as they can, ride 45 miles an hour in the parking lot and do all sorts of other mischief. We have cop cars rolling in here regularly and if you don't know your local firefighters, don't worry you soon will...

There HAVE to be better places than the Camden... DO NOT MOVE HERE!

I agree with you about your comments about the odors...My food disposal smells like feces. No matter how much bleach, baking soda or lemons I use, it still smells and they have not offered to replace it. My lease is almost up, I have seriously considered moving someplace else.

The ladies in the management office are generally nice, speically the manager. She always comes early and leaves late. But one of the lady in the front desk is very rude. About the trash service .. I understand your fustration. However, Westwood is still offer good rent rate and reasonable break-contract fee if you compare to nearby apartment i.e. Oaktree or Waterford.

Your post is Hilarious but on a serious note, thanks for the headsup as I was strongly considering this place for my next move (in Dec), this is saving me from moving outta one cesspool(Olde Towne@Carpenter Village) and into another...
