I found Camden Westwood online while looking to move to the Cary area from FL in January of 2007. I received an email within a day or so from requesting more info on the property. From that initial communication formed a 'friendship' with the Assistant Manager of the property. The customer service I received during my decision making time was a huge deciding factor in which complex I would choose. I drove up early January, viewed the property and was very impressed and signed a 15 month lease the next day.

People reading these ratings really need to keep in mind that who YOU are and how YOU live have a lot to do with your personal experience. If you're a tenant that obeys the rules, takes care of your apartment, and are a GOOD neighbor to others, you're bound to have a more positive experience. If you're one of those renters that give the rest of us a bad rep, you'll probably write a horrid review, bash the staff, and tell people not to move here. Personally, if you're one of those I'm glad you're gone!

Camden Westwood is a great place to live. I've been here over a year and look forward to renewing my lease in April. The office staff is friendly and responsive. The maintenance staff has always met my needs in a timely manner. The grounds are very well taken care of - especially with the drought situation - the grass is green and the flowers blooming, no trash lying around anywhere. New doggie bag stations have just been installed for those with pooches too. I love it here, honestly.

As far as noise that people complain about, you live in a complex people get real. Even with that, I find it charmingly quiet here. I did get new downstairs neighbors that played their music waaaaaaaaaaay too loud (especially the bass!). I went to them myself, twice, and asked them to turn it down. I've not had a problem since then. We're all adults (chronilogically at least) and instead of running to the office with every little complaint, try to work it out yourself first. You will always have inconsiderate neighbors no matter what complex you live in - they just need to be reminded that they live in a complex and need to try to be a good neighbor. All my other neighbors are awesome, very friendly people live here.

The office staff does not change monthly (where did that come from').
The cops are not here "all the time" - I think I've seen then once in over a year. I've never had any safety related problems and feel very safe living here as a single woman.

Cable and trash charges - I personally like having cable built in. The valet trash is another issue that I want to talk to the office about. Like others, I don't have much waste and an additional $30 a month is excessive for me and would put my rent above what I can really afford. But before I make any harsh comments I'll try to work something out with the office.

So from one happy tenant's opinion, if you're looking for a NICE place to live, that is well taken care of, has a really nice office staff and nice apartments give it a try, I think you'll like it. Location is a huge plus as well - everything you could possibly need is a short drive away.

I would definitely recommend Camden Westwood to anyone looking to rent.
