They charged me over $600 for carpet replacement when I moved out, even though there were already stains on the carpet when I moved in (which I reported on the move-in inspection). I gave them contact information when I moved out and didn't hear a thing from them for over 2 months. They never made a single attempt to contact me directly and the first I found out I owed them anything was when it had already been sent to a collection agency.

The collection agency was extremely rude (one lady even hung up on me, even though I was being very civil about explaining the situation to her) and refused to send me an itemized statement of charges because Camden Westwood didn't provide them with one. They told me it would take 4 weeks for them to get one, and that my account would continue to accrue interest charges.

There were multiple problems with living here as well.

It's impossible to sleep with the windows open because there's a railroad track right behind the apartment complex. The trains blow their horns very loud when they go by here. The staff will not tell you about the trains, and the track is hidden from view by trees if it's not winter, so you won't know it is there when you tour the apartment.

Even with the windows not open, when a train comes by, count on not being able to hear anything on your TV if you happen to be watching it at the time.

The Valet trash service was ridiculously expensive, and you could NOT opt out of it even if you didn't mind hauling your own trash to the dumpster. This was a non-optional service they added during my second year as a resident.

Don't make the mistake of signing a lease here. The management is horrible, the noise is horrible cause of the trains, and they make you pay for services that should be optional.

Camden Westwood was one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had.

The non-optional trash fee is $30 and they also impose a $48 dollar cable fee, it's a joke! I agree that the staff is very unprofessional.

I live here and I made that decision because of the prices, cleanliness and very helpful staff. Everyone remembers my name since the first day that I moved here. So didn't you have a choice to either rent here or not? I don't understand why you complain about the trash charges. I love that they pick it up at my door and if you look at other places in this area they cost the same but do nothing extra for you. What a dumb thing to write. Why do you stay here if you don't want to?
