Well I have to agree with the 10/23/2005 posting. However when I first moved here it was GREAT! But now with this group of office employees you're lucky if you get a hello, good bye, etc out of them but I must say for some odd reason they do seem to smile and greet you on rent day....hmmmmm.

Now to get to the real issue....

1. Parking (don't expect a parking space if you should come home after 5:01 p.m EST....)
Yep the parking here really SUCKS and do you think the office is doing anything about it NOP! That's right you pay your rent and they expect you to walk half way across the parking lot to your buliding. And what makes it so bad is that you have people allowing there guest to park in front of the buildings not to mention the ones that have garages that are so full of crap they could not even get a toy car in there....And when you question your safety of walking 3 - 4 buildings over to get to your apartment the office staff can only ask you "You don't think it's safe out here"

Well no your idiot I don't! When I have to factor in all the car break ins. I would hate to walk up on that while it was going on.......

And I would hate to know the rest that's happen out here. Now I'm not saying anything has happen but we all know any break ins, rapes, murders, etc are all public record. So if you're thinking about moving in you might want to research that information first.

2. BUGS!! yes they do have a pest control issues. So if you don't like spiders, silver fish just to name a few then this it not the place for you!

3. MOLD! well the story on that was stated correctly in the 10/23/2005 posting. They do have a very bad mold problem here. But I don't blame the office staff for that! However what I do blame them for is the fact that it can and has taken them up to 4 months the rebuild and correct the problem. 4 months is a very long time when in the letter that they should place on your door about 2 days before states the process would take 6 - 8 weeks now I thought 4 months added up to be 16 weeks but hey what do I know!
And yes I've seen a few buildings that were repaired a few months ago to only come home to see that they have cut out a section to repair the problem again.

4. Noise.....For the noise issue I would say just call the Durham County Police get a report and then call the head office with your report in hand. Also don't forget to keep a log and each time you speak to the office staff concerning an issue.

5. Maintenance.....well I have to say they are pretty good.

6. Office Staff....I must tell you I rated the office staff as "Not helpful. Generally a pain to deal with" I think going to the dentist to have ALL of my teeth removed without any medication is less painful then dealing with this current office staff!

So overall at this point if I was looking for a new apartment, this would not be the place for me at this time. And if you don't believe what you're reading just ask a few of the neighbors. Or better yet take ride after dark and see for yourself.

After all it's you and only you that's concerned about your safety!

Your review is really helpful and thanks for speaking out for all the tenants. Unfortunately, I just signed a year lease with Arringdon... Wish I had seen this earlier. I did notice the construction going on fixing the balconies. I asked and rental office personnel just simply said water damage... not mold... Hmm... fishie. I can't imaging people would omit MOLD.... cause it is MOLD. Oh well, a year I will be out. Thank again for the review
