This is all my personal opinion, rent at your own risk anywhere you go....
For my second year, I was sent a renewel notice, my rent went up 11%!!! WTF' I went up to the office and spoke to the same girl who rented me the apartment. They had no excuse other than that's what the current rate was. So because I got 'such' a good deal when I moved in, you're allowed to jack my rent almost $100 a month from now on'' The apartments are nice, but not worth the rent in my opinion.
Parking is HORRIBLE, if you don't get home before 5:30pm you have to park 2 or 3 buildings over to find a spot. Management says it's just bad in front of MY building so they offered me a free carport to sign a new [more expensive] lease. I don't like the fact that they have pay-carports in the first place but whatever, at least they tried to help. I've also seen some cars in my lot with 'warning stickers' on them, so I assume the towing company is doing their job, which is good. Parking is still bad though. Oh, and the landscapers broke my car window out with a rock and neither management nor the landscapers did anything to fix it.
The felt I was lied to about a few things when I moved in. She said there were 2 hot tubs. Well, they're both outdoors and aren't even hot. She now says the one by my building is a "european spa" and isn't supposed to be hot. I had asked if my golf course view apartment cost more than a street view and she said no...now she says it does cost more. The golf course is one of the crappiest ones in Preston so don't expect to see any celebrities like they say. My apartment bearly has a view and it's the guest bedroom that overlooks it, not the master.
I'm still debating on whether I'm going to sign another 12 month lease, if I do it will be my last 12 months, I won't be staying another year and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else, sorry.

Legends has an awesome hot tub which is really hot, and it's right behind the office. I don't know what this person is talking about. And the golf course view is beautiful. My apartment view is gorgeous and green and pretty, and I've never lived anywhere that was nicer. Don't let the fact that this person is obviously just pissed off bother you. This is a great place to live.

All three of the courses at preston are actually three of the best in the triangle area. The highlands course even has the Senior PGA Tour comes each year for one of there tournaments.
