I have to 97% agree with the post I HATE IT HERE! I am not very sure about the 5.0 ratings that came afterwards, surely sound suspicious, but then it s none of my businesses. I will say it as it is. Judging from my own experience and the rest is up to you.

The apartment space is surely a rare catch (Very Nice 1 bedroom).
The cleanliness of the property and the apartment upon moving in is surely notified.
Maintenance people are responsive and helpful.

Now, having said that, below are the negatives:

The proudly announced clause of refunding your security deposit and allowing you to move out upon request while providing a valid reason within the first 30 days is a scam. Why am I saying that' Simple!!! Because any reason in the world will be acceptable except that you will provide and that is the honest truth. Having said that, if you believe in your rightfulness of utilizing this clause I would recommend and urge you to do the following:

Ask management to name and accordingly list in writing (if you don t want to get on the wrong foot and feel uncomfortable asking for such, have someone along as you are having this conversation to be your witness) what would they accept as a valid reason for requesting an early lease termination with no penalty (30 days satisfaction clause).

Also before signing, name the scenarios upon which you might find the apartment unsuitable, and present them in writing to the management office and have them validate and sign their approval of such scenarios (Example: noisy floors etc.) and accordingly make your decision.

Last but not least, and that applies to all properties and rentals, if the damage is done and you already moved in without any of the above mentioned, and you got stuck with management denying you your offered clause (whatever that might be), always make sure to do the following:

Be right and reasonable about your concern/requirement (don t make up stories)

Address all your concerns/requirements to management in a polite, right to the point, written manner. Explaining exactly what is it that you want and why, leaving no place for doubt or change in meaning. (It s preferable to use e-mail to keep track and copy of your communication).

Wait for management to reply in writing, and if not, then contact them and inform them that you have e mailed them and you would like to have a reply to your e-mail. (Obtain a written respond)

If the respond is not to your satisfaction, and you would still like to move out, then take the required steps to move out, regardless of what the management tells you or offers you (Place your written notice within the required contractual time send it by written and signed also by e-mail to assure that it s been received move out and return your keys with your apartment being clean and all seek assistance from consumer protection and if not resolved then file a case with the court). For that always keep your documents and communication with the management office handy as a proof and also always give the management a chance to do the right thing if they choose to.

Last important thing is to ALWAYS keep your cool and politeness with management in your written and verbal communications. If not for anything, but not to allow them to use it against you or push you to get more aggravated and then say something that in moment of anger might sound irreplaceable, but will sadly be used against you later on. Also don t say or explain to management anything more than you are required to say, they will also use that against you, make it short and right to the point.

Note: the management isn t that terrible, they face you with a smile, pleasant attitude and they respond to your calls and e mails. However, let s face facts, it s their job to make as much money as they could and that is what they are doing. Sometimes, sadly, they take chances betting on how clueless or lazy the residents are to take any rightful action, so once again, they could make it easier, and that would add a plus to this community, but I guess they are somewhat concerned about the short-term revenue than the long term reputation!!

Good luck
