Overall our living experience in Archstone was OK. Parking was really bad but just in our area, mainly because of guests. But what is really infuriating to me is this. The day of my closing walk through I got there early and the facilities manager had already done the walk through. I ask the asst. manager would I be responsible for anything other than my water bill, and after consulting with the facilities manager she said no. I should be getting the water bill in the mail. 3 weeks later I get a bill for $1700s for some crazy charges. After debating back and forth over the phone for two days, they still want to hold me responsible for $160 carpet cleaning bill described as pet stains when I never owned a pet, and one never entered the apartment while we lived in it. Their file up keeping is pitiful and their staff turnover is incredibly high; a clear indication that there is something wrong internally. In the early fall, spiders take over hallways and provide a great Halloween theme only it last for 3 months waiting on maintenance to come clean it up. Watch out for wasp/hives. You will be safer taking care of that yourself rather than waiting for them to come take care of it. Their cancellation policy is a joke. They will quote a price from the system but ultimately, the manager has ultimate saying. In some cases the systems will quote $1300 and the manager can drop it to $450 or less, but usually wont. I have seen them do it and you cant help but feel taken advantage of.
Service as far as repairs have been timely and effective. Their online payment feature has never been up and don??t let them tell you any different.
