We're just about to sign our third lease here. The only problems we have had are...

01] The lack of parking by our building [but it's fine in other areas] because of the poor layout of the complex. If you're thinking about moving in, make sure your building is one by and end so you don't have to park a block away.

02] Obnoxiously loud upstairs neighbors. I told the office staff/management and they talked to them that day.

03] Pool is pretty crappy. Not really deep or large enough and way too many kids.

04] Mosquitoes. I cannot sit out on our porch without getting bit up.

05] The garbage area. There are not enough recycle containers for the amount of people and they are overflowing all the time. I do have to add that part of my issue with the garbage area is on the residents that cannot read and those that leave their garbage all over the garbage area.

I agree that their pet fees are too high as well as their fees if you decide to have satellite instead of cable. I also agree that they should have a better dog area and more poop clean-up stations.

Maintenance issues have always been fixed quickly - replacement bulbs, A/C unit overflowed and flooded the master bedroom closet, kitchen sink leaks, etc.

I completely disagree with the lady that said the manager isn't nice to the wife if she likes the husband. I love the staff here and have never had any problems with any of them.

I do not like the corporate office policy that you have to sign a paper 60 days before the end of your lease indicating if you're staying or leaving. A lot can happen in 60 days. I was disappointed with the corporate decision to waste money to repaint all the buildings hideous colors and then to waste money to repave and repaint the perfectly good parking lots. They didn't even bother to repaint in a way that created an extra parking spot in the areas where it's needed - which would be easy to do as the spots are wider than they need to be. They really should have spent that money on upgrading the apartments.

They have two handicapped parking spots in front of each building, but they are not monitored and most nights there are cars parked there with no handicapped markings or plaque in the car.

This is the first time I have lived in an apartment community. I am used to small, landlord owned buildings. I much prefer the later. So, I cannot honestly rate how this apartment complex rates against other apartment complexes.

Almost all of the neighbors I have met here, in our building and in other buildings, are really nice. I have always felt safe walking around at night.

I love the washer/dryer in unit, dishwasher and the central A/C. I didn't have those in my other apartments. I don't like the ugly, easy to stain, cream carpets and miss my hard wood floors. Closets are large, but we could use at least one more. Kitchen is a bit smaller than I like, but not too small.

The water pressure in the showers is nice and strong. The tubs are large. The hot water heaters are large enough to have the dishwasher and washing machine going and still be able to take a shower.

We are not to far from the train tracks and the airport, but we rarely hear either.

We rarely hear our neighbors through the walls [other than the jerks that were above us for a while].

That's nice that you haven't any problems with the staff, I have the problem with the Manager ONLY!!!! I avoid even going in the officce she is such a B---!!! The noise level is very bad. You can here everything above, below, behind, and beside you at least in our building. Have complined many times and even call the police. Nothing done. So all night we here screems and doors slamming, cabinet doors slamming, music you name it. The kids around here are out of control no supervision at all. My husband and I were walking one afternoon and saw a kid jumping on the top of a car, I've also seen them bash the handicap signs untill they come off the post, leave trash all over the place and best of all if they are in the middle of the road and your driving they want move, and last of all at least one set of kids in our building keeps SNAKES as a pet. The garbage area is a sight to be hold when it breaks usually after a weekend. The pool is fine it's just for lounging around. Look around real good before you settle down here. There is worse.

arthis2000, either you are a bitter hag or someone who just can't stand people, especially kids. Why do you insist on living here then?
