I am leaving Treybrooke after a year, and that only because I'm moving in with my boyfriend in Greenville. As apartments go this was a good one. The office staff is friendly and helpful, the maintenence staff is prompt and competent (during the year we had our dishwasher break, our toilet malfunction, and our condensation pan on the AC leak out onto the carpet, but all of this was taken care of in a professional and timely manner). Neighbors seem friendly and respectful enough, I didn't really get to know them very well though. The area is safe, I haven't heard about any problems with drugs, break-ins, vandalism, etc. I also haven't seen any major problems with pests (I live on a 2nd floor unit), just a couple ants sometimes, it's not bad.

Treybrooke does suffer from a few common apartment problems, such as a confusing and often inadequate parking policy, particularly as pertains to guest parking. I've seen people complain about the 60-day move-out notice policy, which is annoying but seems to be more and more common among apartment complexes. Read your lease thoroughly and you won't have a problem. If you sign a document you didn't read, it's your own fault. Another thing to consider is proximity to the RDU airport...planes are going to take off over the complex, starting pretty early in the morning. This woke me up like crazy for the first week or 2 I lived here but after that I started sleeping right through it, and I'm a pretty light sleeper. I don't consider it a problem now.
