Convinient location

Ive been living in these apartments for just over a year now, and Ive had no problems. I asked to see the apartment before signing the lease, and aside from some minor problems (Such as a broken door on one of the closets, and a loose handle on the screen door leading to the balcony) which were noted in the file, the apartment was very nice. The carpets had been cleaned recently, the appliances were all in good working order, and the area outside was well lit and clean. The only major problem I noticed was that the dishwasher was not securely fastened under the counter - but maintnence took care of it within a week (Before I had even moved in!).
The apartment is in a convinient location - withing walking distance of the college, a grocery store, several gas stations, and a laundromat (Which I reccomend - it IS expensive to do laundy in the apartment laundry rooms - though the apartments include washer/dryer hookups and the option to rent the apliances if you dont wish to buy them. However, I think having a washer/dryer would make part of the aparment seem a bit crowded.).
Aside from one car alarm that seems to go off like clockwork, the apartment and surrounding area is generally quiet, if a bit lacking in scenery.
The only complaint Ive heard from a lot of residents is about the rent rates going up constantly - Im renewing my lease this month and yes, my rent is going up - by 20$ a month. I spend more than that on gas for a week, so Im not too worried about it.
