Nice apts for the area, but the management team sucks. If you have animals or children, live on the first floor.

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
My husband and I, along with our two 5 lbs. cats, rented a second floor apartment. Our cats are still young so they like to play. Unfortunately, the neighbors below us reported us.
The first report was that "something" was running from the bathroom to the bedroom window all night. The assistant manager called me and told me that it would be best if I kept the cats in the living room, which I did.
The second report was because our cat knocked a butterfly chair over at approximately 8:30pm and then our other cat knocked a DVD tower over at approximately 9:55pm. The quiet time hours begin at 10pm, however the "courtesy officer" came to our door and said that the neighbors had been hearing thuds all night. I spoke with the courtesy officer and an office representative and explained what had occurred. The office representative told me that she didn't believe it was a valid complaint. I told her that we would do what was necessary to remedy the situation. I told her we would move or we could switch apartments with the resident that was reporting us. She assured me she would speak with the manager.
The third report was because my husband accidently let the cats in the bedroom and they were playing. The courtesy officer told us that we needed to quiet down. Supposedly our cats playing sounded like two children playing.
The next day we received a note on our door saying that if we had one more complaint, we would be evicted. I went to the office and was finally able to speak with the manager, who was rude and cynical. I offered to move, but I couldn't afford to pay the transfer fee. She offered to waive the fee, but then suggested that we have a meeting with the neighbors. Luckily the neighbor came into the office. The neighbor and I resolved the issue ourselves, but the lesson is that the front office has no follow through unless you speak with the manager directly. Of course she wasn't 100 percent helpful either, she felt the need to be rude before she tried to resolve the situation.
