I signed a six-month lease, and I am getting ready to leave. I was dissapointed in a couple of aspects. When I saw the model apartment, I fell in love. Also, the girl who showed it was kind. The day I moved in the electric company was closed, and the staff acted like I was trying to scam them by not having my electric deposit already (even though that day was my first day in NC). MY family drove me the 17 hours from home and were going to unload the truck and immediately go back home another 17 hours. They were exhausted, but the staff would not let my family unload until all of the paperwork was done. I thought that was rude and untrusting.
When I first reported a problem with my bathroom, the request got lost. A week later I was still stuck with only about 4 minutes of hot water in the shower. After that problem, all other requests were fixed quickly.
I also got a complaint from them that I had a pet. They lost the record that I paid the $250 pet fee. Every time I call, they still don't have it down that I paid that fee.
Some good things are that the water is included, everything is electric (and even though I keep my apt. very cold in the summer, my electric bill was between $33 and $55 per month), I feel safe, I've not seen any insects, they made copies for me, there is a duck and some geese on the pond that beg for food (the pond is okay, but it is covered in droppings), trash is included, plenty of parking, good landscaping, two club houses with 2 pools and 10 laundry machines, and the neighbors are nice and not very loud.
As for the apartments, I have a two-bedroom. What I like about it is that there are no hallways, so the footage is all in open area and not wasted on hallways. There is overhead lighting already installed. I think all of the apartments have bay windows or fireplaces. I had plenty of storage room.
Chances for improvement include updating the paint job on the outside. They are starting to look shabby. They also make a huge deal about dogs not being over 30 lbs, so be careful with that.
I hope this helps! x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk

There are some good and bad aspects of Sabal Pointe. I had a breakin (good thing I was not there that night) and Danny said he had to install a new door. Thats great!!! At the end of my lease...I get hit with the charge for the door and stated the door was not install as of yet. I always used my back door from my bedroom after i got ready so I did not notice the door was not fixed. But later on the manager told me the door had to be replaced because it easily played. Go figure..you'd think safety is a priority after a breakin. I would not recommend them to anyone. I think they are a big scam.
