I moved here from Shellbrook Apartments, because a friend of mine in another Archstone community recommended Archstone as a management company.

Archstone was a good management company, but then they sold the property to another company...who sold the property to another company, who sold it again to its current owners--and it hasn't helped anything.

I've had my car broken into twice. My apartment was almost broken into three times--twice while I was home and once when my husband was home! I've had several changes in my neighbours, not all of them good--we had water pour into our apartment from the apartment above us (which was WAY over-occupied--the folks that live there now are cool, though the kids love to pound across the floor late at night which is no fun), the police busted the folks living on the other side of my building about a month or so ago for something, and we get cars doing slow drive-throughs at all hours of the night. There have been shots fired in the complex on several occasions, and the police are here on a near-constant basis. I can only imagine how the folks with kids feel.

And the rent...egad. We're overpaying for a tiny and outdated apartment that management has the gall to call "luxury". And management won't even enforce the rules with anything more than a letter put on all the doors. It was cool when I moved in, but now...not so much. Just wish we could afford to move.

This is what you get living on the east side.of town. That's why I stay away from it. It's the same in all cities. mabye a security update'll do. And better dog restrictions.
