Our downstairs neighbor constantly complains that we are being too loud and our dog barks too much. He says we step too hard. Okay, we don't do anything out of the ordinary, just everyday walking around. He said if we want to play with our dog we should go outside. I am a quiet person and my husband and I have done everything we can to accomodate him. Management won't listen to us because they say he is complaining to them so they have to do something about it. They won't listen to what we have to say it seems. They are threatening to send us to another apartment. I say they should at the very least pay for our move.
They say they allow pets but they should revise that and say they don't because of the issues I have had to deal with. The managment is completely unfair and will not listen to you if you have a complaint.
I have seen some people complain 4-5 times and then they might do something. But they took advantage of us and kicked us out of our dream apartment after the third time the guy complained living there for barely three months.

Yep. I agree. The woman who lives below me complained when I watered my plants. Because management was unwilling to see how riducluous it was that she complained about her balcony getting a little wet, I have $50 dollars in dead plants. She complains when my dog (less thatn 30 lbs) plays in the floor. She has called the office multiple times. They haven't actually said that they were going to do anything yet, but noticed keep getting put into my file and I'm worried that it will affect me being able to rent elsewhere. One lady even complained that I walked my dog to close to her window and it "incited" her dog. Um...the sidewalk is not yours! (She has 2 super aggressive dogs she can barely control, I don't think my puppy is the problem). But like the above poster said, management refuses to look at both sides of the problem and come up with a fair solution. I am currently trying to sublease and get of of this place. Its not worth the stress.
