On the Fence

I have been living at Gresham Park since 2002. When I first moved in, I absolutely loved the place. Management was excellent, the the complex was well kept. All the stairs were carpeted and the buildings were power washed regularly. I really had no complaints..

The prices are a little on the high side but that is to be expected living in North Raleigh. The apartments are really nice on the insides. Awesome appliances and a very spacious layout.

I started noticing a change when we were constantly under new management. First the carpet started tearing up in the outside hallway and on the stairs. I can't remember how many time I tripped and almost fell. Finally all the carpet was removed from the stairs leaving them to look very tacky. I thought that they were gonna be replaced but that never happened.

Now fast forward to the present, the quality of Gresham Park has quickly deteriorated. Maintainance SUCKS!! I am not exaggerating when I say this. I called the office more than 6 times with the exact problem that I was told was fixed everytime maintainance left my apt, only to find out within a few days, my guest toilet would malfunction again. Whoever they are contracted with to clean the carpets are horrible. When I moved into my new apt. they were under new management and it was very aparent. There were spots all over the carpet. I had to rent a rug doctor from food lion to clean my carpet myself. The aparment complex is now noisy and there are always a bunch of kids running up and down the place.

PARKING SUCKS!! I work a second shift job and when I get home at night its ridiculous. I have had to park next to another building and walk the parking lot late at night by myself. Parking really sucks. The overall appearance of the complex has gone down tremendously.

Having said all this, before this past year, my experience at Gresham had been a very pleasant one. I am not sure whether I would recommend this complex or not. This last year has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I am happy to be moving to new apartment complex within the month. I would say visit for yourself and then decide whether it's the right place for you to call home. It was for me until it wasn't.
