If you like hot water, do not live here. The water has been shut off multiple times, and the management continues to put band-aids on the situations instead of replacing the outdated boiler system. Their suggestion to me was to "run the water in the shower for 20 minutes for it to get luke warm". In a drought, they told me to waste water for 20 minutes.
Also, if you like things fixed promptly when they break do not live here. I had a pipe burst in my apartment, instead of fixing the problem right away, they gave me keys to another apartment so that i could have access to the bathroom. A BURST pipe...again in a drought...didn't get fixed for an entire day!
If you like amenities like pool, gyms, and "internet cafes" do not live here. The pool was closed until almost the end of the summer, and they were in no hurry to fix this. The so-called "gym" is a tiny room with 2 treadmills (that are broken 90% of the time) and 3 other machines (no weights). The advertised "internet" cafe you have to pay a extra fee to use one of 2 old computers and coffee from a coffee pot..no "cafe".
Not only that, the new management is horrible. They have no sympathy for what their residents are having to live with, and offer no discounts on rent for the horrible water situation. In fact, they raised the rent for all residents without notice.

i understand & agree with the water thing. I dont like it either. But you are exagerating a little about the pool. My birthday is June 17th and we spent a few hours at the pool that day so it wasnt closed till almost the end of the summer. And i am in almost my 3rd year of living here and i am still paying the same in rent as when i moved in. Our friends rent is also the same since they moved in. Maybe they have only raised yours?! apartment complexes hardly ever have good gyms. Thats why i joined a gym. And i have my own computer & my own internet. If you are looking for a 5 star quality pool & gym you'll have to look elsewhere & pay over $1000 a month.

I also understand and agree with the water thing. However, thank the good Lord we are not charged for it! I was a little hot about the pool also. It was a couple of weeks after Memorial Day when it was opened, but it was definetly open in June. They did not raise my rent last year either. I will be going on my 6th year here if I renew my lease in June. There are repairs that I need done to my place. I did find that you have to call a few times before you get action, but generally it gets done and the maintenance guys are very good about it. Remember they can only do what they are told. Not sure what role the new boss of maintenance has. All I ever see him do is ride around. Have never see him work along side his people which might earn him some respect. As far as the gym; it is lousy, but it is not an issue with me. Duraleigh Woods and West Millbrook have fantastic gyms if you want to look into them. However, there are downsides to living in those apartment complexes too, as there would be with any. You did not say which building you were in. I am wondering where all the problems are?

I only spent a year living at this complex and I agree with everything you said. When I first moved in in the middle of 2006 the staff was wonderful. Then a couple of months later the staff changed to some of the most disrespectful, unprofessional, incompetent people I have ever had the displeasure to meet and have to deal with. I had issues with my upstairs neighbors making so much noise I had to call the police on a regular basis and the staff did nothing for my complaints. I do remember many times having issues with the water and then having them tell our building along with a few others that we could have access to a couple of the vacant apartments in order to take showers, but when I went to them to do this before going to work they said other people were already in those 2 apartments and I would have to wait which would've caused me to be late for work. Also, the pool was not in service for quite a bit of the beginning of the summer of 2006. I moved out last year in April of 2007 and I have still not received my security deposit. They have 30 days from your move out date to send you some sort of correspondence regarding the return or denial of return of the security deposit and I got nothing of the sort. I went to them last month to let them know of this oversite and the redhead told me it must have gotten sent back to the sender and assured me she would have them resend it and said we should have it within 30 days maybe less, and I have yet to receive it. Awful. All you others saying people exagerate about how horrible the staff is obviously like being treated like crap. I don't, which is why I moved out and am still being treated poorly by these peolpe.

Yeah, I just moved in three months ago & don't have too many complaints. The office staff (the girl in particular) was EXTREMELY friendly when she was trying to get me to sign the lease. Now when I go in to pay rent once a month things are not so friendly.
