Autumn River is so-so. Let me start by saying the maintenance guys are awesome! Our water heater broke and flooded part of our apartment on a Sunday morning. They were there within the hour (had to come in from home) and apologized profusely.

The leasing agents are ok, nothing bad, nothing good.

The property manager, Jane, is not so bright. She once told me they can't spray pesticides in the grass in case a dog is allergic to it, so I asked her what I see the landscapers spraying in the grass and she said she didn't know. One of the maintenance guys came out and said it's weed killer. I said, "so weed killer and fertilizer are ok, but pesticides are not'" She looked to the maintenance guy for an answer and then slid into her office while he struggled to spit out an answer.

The dumpster is at the front of the complex, so if you live in the back, get used to putting your garbage in your car and driving it up. It's gross. It's a big enough place I would think they could have another in the back.

They also make you give 60 days notice if you are going to move out. That makes it really difficult to secure another place if you want to move out. It's not like they need the time to advertise, your apartment sits empty for a month anyway while they do repairs. Alone it wouldn't be a big deal, it just adds to my list of frustrations with them.

I've lived in 6 different complexes in my life and this one looks the prettiest, but the little things really bug me about it. Maybe if it looked like crap, I wouldn't expect much.
