It's ok if...

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I've lived here for well over a year. Things were fine for awhile - the staff was friendly and responsive, and the apartment above me was empty. Then new management and personnel came in, and I've experienced what has been mentioned in other reviews - lack of response and availability. Nowadays there's hardly ever more than one person in the office, and I've given up on maintenance requests.
Someone also moved in above me, and I soon realized that these places have incredibly thin ceilings. I hear every thud-thud in the steps my neighbor takes, every click when she wears heels on the kitchen tile, and I can even hear when her shower's going. Having lived in a couple of apartments before, I understand there might be some noise, but there's no excuse for such poor construction.
It's not all bad - the apartments themselves are nice, with 9 foot ceilings and plenty of space. The shower stalls are nice, but they're made of that glass that's really hard to clean well. Parking is adequate to good, the location is great, and the neighborhood seems pretty safe.
Still, the negatives outweigh the positives. I guess if you have no maintenance issues, have nobody living above you, and get in on a great move-in special, it's not such a bad place to live. However, for me, a good experience has quickly turned sour, and I can't wait until my lease is up so I can leave.
