The last comment did say "generally helpful" but that would have to be quite loose of the term. I could not agree more the location is great, but the management running Avera Place and still is in Jan 2008, can make you wish you lived anywhere but there. I found it frustrating, and very disappointing quite frankly that the management company running Avera Place was quick to respond to those interested in buying property but renters, forget about it. Ask what their plan is for tenants that are property owned and you are the renter and the owner claims bankruptcy' You're on your own baby! Hit the road jack! It was a pity the numbers of nightmares neighbors offered regarding the management's blas treatment. The property management, HOA members were more concerned in changing (ASAP of course) the slab of slate in front entrance from "AP Apartment Homes" to "AP Condominiums". Also there was a repeated over used statement: "Be patient, we are changing office personnel."

Hey, Thanks for the review on this. You did note something I was unaware of concerning owners and bankruptcy. I will be forwarding this entire link of reviews onto the management in hopes to bring attention to their overall rating and check their intrest in becoming one of the better facilities in the community. I found your review helpful and say thank you again. I did bring to light 2 issues I had problems with, 1 has been resolved. The other relates to new tenants storing pool furniture outside their unit. It's my hope when they see this, they will prosper to do something about it. As I have complained 3 times about the unsightly storage and my concern for overall responsiveness does have me thinking. I still think this is a nice place to live, overall. Safe and convienent and the office folks do always seem to be accessable. I like to give folks benefit of doubt. I'd like to meet you someday and perhaps we could provide a more unified voice to accomplish a more positive outcome to the management and steer the concern into an up swing in attitude. Yes, there are premium communities with nicer ammenities. But those places are also higher rent. And I also have knowledge some of those places also fall short on many expectations. Both in service and quality as well. My thought is: life and where you choose to live, is what you make of it. I studied before moving here. This is what I not only wanted, but really needed as well. I only hope this doesn't sour your overall expectations for this style of living which so many people have a need for. Believe me, it beats a lot of other places I've seen. My son is a maintenance engineer for several other properties and he likes this place as well. Let me know if you'd like to meet, I'd enjoy talking to a few neighbors. Thanks Jeff

Whoever wrote this is just nuts or they are writing about another property all together. There isn't even a "slab of slate" anywhere near the office with or without a logo. Anyway I have found it to be a wonderful property and have enjoyed my stay. I would love to stay if I weren't moving back to Texas
