Is the roaches due to renovations?? or what neibors, management , your location or WHAT?????

I lived at Beckanna from 1997-1998. I know it has been a while since I lived there but I had baby roaches scatter everywhere every morning in the kitchen when I turned the lights on at 5am. They exterminated the unit about 3 times but it didn't really do any good. I think they need a regular maintenance schedule with spraying every month around the trash cans and the laundry room, etc. That would probably help some. Once when I went to put some clothes in the washer I saw a roach in the washing machine also. And the window heating/cooling units were about as old as the building--no central ventilation yuck. Once I forgot my wallet in the laundry room and in a matter of minutes someone stole my wallet. I immediately reported it to the front desk and they said well you don't need to call the police. Well guess what, I called the police anyways and filed a report and then had to cancel all my cards and get a new drivers license.
