I'd suggest having a dozen lawyers check your lease for loopholes, because if they can charge you extra for anything, they probably will! Don't be surprised if extra prices start showing up after you move in... or after you leave and when can't do anything about it, or they will threaten to put things on your credit report. My stay was horrible. It appears to be an unethical operation. The roof leaked and ruined several tenants' personal belongings during my stay. The managers were friendly until I signed the lease, and then EXTREMELY RUDE, and questionable. The managers also appear to be using Beckanna's offices to perform personal commerce. I don't know if they had permission to hold public showings of movies like Quantum of Solace, serving alcohol to anybody who would step foot on the premises to sell more apartments. In short, my stay was expensive, unfriendly, and I received fraudulant charges and harrasing phone calls late in the evening from their "thugs".... a credit agency theatening me if I didn't pay extra, or they would turn in on my credit report. Pets are "allowed".... but you'll pay 500 nonrefundable to move in, and whatever they decide when you move out. They're above the law, so I'd suggest to beware.

You are exactly correct; my experiences indicate likewise-they have always been above the law, both NC and Raleigh since being sold 2005; and your comments regarding the leases are also correct from my experiences.

Aside from extra charges for pets, can you further elaborate on the non-explicitly agreed upon charges?
