I recently went through a seperation and moved from a five-bedroom home to a one bedroom apartment at The Beckanna. This change was very difficult, but the Beckanna staff, its friendly residents, the trendy floorplan and the social gatherings really made the transition easier for me to adapt to this new lifestyle. I quickly made new girlfriends just passing by in the laundry room and elevators, and realized that other young professionals I hadn't seen in years also lived in the building.
I have managed apartment communities for nine years, (not employed by the same company as The Beckanna, although it is really reputable), so I am extremely picky about where I live. I have been really pleased at the professionalism that I have seen from all employees, maintenance, and the way they renovated these homes.
David is a very kind and thorough Maintenance Supervisor, and is quick to respond to even the smallest issue. He is quick to help you carry something upstairs or just make conversation in the hallway. Lainey has called me personally when I have received packages and has introduced me to other people in the community. Meg, the manager always greets me with a smile and is very personable; yet sincerely cares for the well-being of the property. Dennis was my leasing consultant and he almost spent the entire day for me to ensure that I had exactly what I was looking for. He made me feel like I fit in here.
I have had to work from home a lot recently and I have used the business center facilities quite often, meeting with people or just using the copying machine or conference room. The facilities are always clean. There has been never been a shortage of copy paper and a generous amount of hand sanitizer and clorox wipes available as well. It has made things a thousand times easier for me.
I rented a storage facility last week and it was reasonably priced and sufficient in size. I used to pay $75.00 and now I am paying just $40.00 for a really large metal unit.
My only complaint would be that the air conditioners are similiar to a hotel, and can be a little loud, however they do block the sound of ever hearing another neighbor. I also cannot rely on a wireless signal and did have to get Road Runner Internet, which was completely expected when moving somewhere new.
I had a great time at my first "Third Thursday" in which an acoustic guitar player sang for several hours in the courtyard while the Beckanna staff served beer and wine. I liked this idea so much, I may incorporate it in my future events I host at my property. It really allowed me to see what a nice community this is and that their residents are eager to be social as well.
I am very pleased and I think that they are doing a great job. Keep in mind that the people that usually write negative reviews on this website, are usually the ones that owe money for damages, evictions for non-payment or just create conflict.
I hope this review was helpful. :)
Sincerely,
Sara P.
