Move here if you like to pay too much for a dump.

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I lived in this complex for nearly two years and relocated shortly after the current company took over. During that time, my rent increased by nearly $100, with the excuse that the market rate had risen. I know for a fact that other tenants with the same apartment size as my own were paying atleast $30 less than I. By their calculations, shouldn't EVERYONE be paying the market rate' Also, my rent increased by $40 when I gave my intent to vacate.
There was mold in my shower, which was never removed. The sliding glass door to my bedroom would not lock and was never fixed. The staff avoided any confrontation, to the point of not answering the phones during business hours, even when they were in the office. The exercise room was not air-conditioned. After thunderstorms with high winds, tree branches were left in the walkways until tenants took it upon themselves to remove them. I got notices that pest-control would be spraying the apartments on a certain day. I was home on those certain days and pest-control never came. I suppose that explained the huge cockroaches.
I unfortunately had a very valid, though personal, reason for remaining as long as I did, however, I would recommend that prospective tenants seriously consider the alternatives before signing a lease with Berkshires on Millbrook.
