My wife and I lived in a 3 bedroon for about 7 mths. We had to move out of the country and had signed a two year lease. Well after a month of thinking on their part, they tell us we can get out of our lease for $6,000 maybe more if they have to paint or recarpetand ask me to respond with what I think is fair. So I counter with $1000 (about a months rent) and hope to find a happy medium. I never heard from them again. Didn't return my calls, didn't have time to see me when I came by, never dropped by to say hi. Nothing. So we left with a note in the office mailbox. I could not beleive they never contacted me again.
Anyway, the streets are crowded with kids at certain times of the day. And it's about a mile to a mile and a half depending on where you live to get to any outside roads.
I never had any trouble with crime but the neighborhood does sit on the boundry of the square mile where 85% of raleighs murders occur. That's one square mile around WakeMed.
I also found maintence slow, there was a broken window when we moved in and they didn't come for about 3 and a half weeks. I don't blame this on the maintence crew but the office staff in not passing on messages. The window guy seemed mortified that he had not been notified.
