I DON'T RENT HERE. I OWN A TOWNHOME...AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY WITHOUT HESITATION THAT IT IS THE VERY LAST FRED SMITH HOME THAT I WILL EVER PURCHASE. THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS AWFUL. THEY TELL YOU THAT IT'S THIS QUIET, WONDERFUL CLEAN NEIGHBORHOOD PATROLED BY THIS WONDERFUL COMMUNITY POLICE. THEY TELL YOU THAT THEY HAVE VERY STRICT RULES...LIKE NO PARKING ON THE STREET, YOU MUST KEEP YOUR YARD CLEAN, ETC. THAT'S ALL CRAP! THEY LET ANYONE (AND I DO MEAN ANYONE) LIVE THERE. THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT PARKING IN THE STREET, NOISE, KIDS RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE STREETS...NOTHING. EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE A WARRANTY ON YOUR HOME, IT TAKES THEM FOREVER TO DO ANY REPAIRS...AND WHEN THEY DO, THE WORK IS SHODDY...TO SAY THE LEAST. IF YOU MOVE HERE, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!!!

FYI: The community police officer (officers?) in Hedingham is excellent. I have several neighbors who used to park in the street in front of my house, in my driveway when I wasn't home, etc., and the problem has been dealt with to my satisfaction.

I have a home in Hedingham and I think it is a wonderful place to live. I am not sure why this person is so dissatisfied with our community.

I agree with the poster...the community security officer does nothing where I live about cars on the street. There is actually a POLICE officer that ONLY parks on the street even though she has a driveway that never has any cars in it. The maintenance team is great here, but the office staff has much to be desired. The community manager (---- ------) has terrible people skills and if you are a renter he will take ALL of your deposit regardless of how well you kept up with your place. I would not recommend buying or renting in the community!
