Brookefield Apartments
AVERAGE RATING

At the end of 2007 we were faced with finding a place for my mother-in-law to move her closer to us since the passing of her husband. We did extensive research and stumbled cross Brookfield when we found Apartment Ratings online. We were glad we did because a couple places we were considering were slammed pretty hard in the ratings while Brookfield was consistenly praised. Now that she has been there for about five months (it is leased under my name as we pay the majority of her rent), I am glad we did. The place does not have as many units as alot of other apartment complexes but I beleive that is an asset--not a liability. It is in a good negigborhood within walking distances of several gropcery stores and other services. She had a great deal of trepidation moving into a place on her own and we are about 15 minutes drive, but she thoroughly enjoys the place, its quietness and cleanliness. I can strongly recommend Brookfield as a tenant (tenant sponsor maybe).

Disagree somewhat... been to the apartments as a guest of a tenant and some maintenance is needed to the grounds and the distance for an older person to walk to the grocery store?!

Actually, I lived there in the back part of the property, and could easily walk to Harris Teeter. If this person's mother-in-law lived in the back, it could certainly be manageable, even for an elderly person. And I didn't find the grounds maintenance to be lacking in any way. Some people just love to rain on a parade.
