I have lived at Calibre Chase for 5 years and I must say that during these years the only change I have seen is the Rates going up! The location is wonderful and believe me, that is what you are paying for. The kitchens are soooo outdated. Cabinets look discolored, stove tops are hard to keep clean due to dust and all of the ones I have seen look like they have been there since the beginning. Next issue.... Carpet! Now that is a subject to get on. Not good quality, nothing as to having padding and you best hope that it never gets wet from any type of water damage! It will be dried, cleaned,(maybe) and put back down. Talk about nasty smells, just wait unti it rains! That mildew smell will come out!!! I have seen the grounds look better. There is no standard look. Each building has a different kind of bush or bushes and most are not kept up. It sort of looks like a jungle in certain areas. THE GATE! what a joke. People think that it is so nice to have and impressive. Well, on a good month it may work a night or two. Usually the out gate is closed and the in gate is open. Shouldn't that be reversed''
Now, for the employees. Office staff is nice, helpful. THe guys do a good job with a good attitude.
Overall, this place is ok. Nothing great. When compared to others around, better than some but needs to compare with newer apartments in the area. Make cosmetic changes then compare rates!!

I have been living here for a little over two years, and I do agree that the cabinets need updating. I think the carpeting is the same standard quality that you will find in any apartment in Raleigh. I don't know what you are talking about in reference to the mildew smell when it rains...I have never experienced that. As far as the bushes go, why does every building exterior need to look exactly the same? Plus, I would much rather live in a community that actually has landscaping as opposed to some of the newer communities with zero tress or few bushes. And although the gate may not work 100% of the time, it is only an access gate anyway. People can walk on the property whenever they want to, and I see cars follow people in all the time. If you have been so displeased with the property, how come you have lived there for five years?
