Not a good experience

Living at Calibre Chase for over a year was not a good experience; the biggest problem that I had was the flooding,it happened twice. The first time it only left the ceilings stained, but the second time I found myself ankle deep in water in the middle of the night.Needless to say the apartment was a complete mess and it took more than a week with the extreemly nosy drying equipment going 24 hours a day to almost dry it out.One time I entered my apartment to find a complete stranger in it and was told that the manager gave him a key so he could come in at any time (he was an outside contractor). I got very mad and insisted that the lock be changed so that only Drucker and Falk employees (the management company)could have keys.I have since found out that the complex pluming was done with Polybutylene pipe which gets worse evey year and has been taken off the market.
They have no security and ther was an armed holdup at gunpoint and burglary while I lived there. You will not need an alarm clock because the wooden catwalks are so poorly constructed that the building shakes when people use the stairs.

I am very sorry that one of our resident's felt this way. We want all of our resident's to have a pleasant experience here at Calibre Chase! I do know that this review isn't accurate. This resident was given an opportunity to stay in our model due to the flooding. In addition, a compensation was given on the rent due to the inconvenience caused. Our contractors are bonded, insured, and very honest. I did however change the locks at the residents request, and made sure someone was with them when repairs were done. We did have a robbery here at Calibre Chase, but thankfully no one was hurt. Unfortunately, robberies happen in all cities, especially when the economy is very bad. We work very hard at Calibre Chase make it a great place to live!

The only thing that I have to agree with is that the stairs and catwalks in between are extrememly noisy. I do not know if they were poorly constructed or just made out of wood that is going to make a lot of noise, but one can hear everyone's coming and going even if one tries to walk softly. It is loud enough to wake one up in the morning. I have lived in a lot of apartment communities and never had an issue with noisy stairs, rather I have always had an issue with people slamming doors. Here, no slamming doors. I suppose in apartment living one expects to hear noise and as far as apartments go, this community is very quiet, however the stairs and catwalk are an issue. If that is the only thing one has to worry about...then it is easy to tolerate.
