I'm happy here

I've only lived in Summit Crest for a little over a month, but I have been very happy so far. The staff seems very friendly and helpful. They even handed out complimentary breakfast to-go bags to residents on their way out to work one morning.

The exercise room has a great assortment of new equipment and is very well kept. However, it is somewhat small for the size of this community. It usually is pretty busy in there.

Overall, the property is beautiful. The buildings are architecturally interesting and have really nice stone facades. The landscaping is great too - they definitely put a lot of thought into the layout of trees and buildings.

We've had quite a few maintenance issues in our apartment already, but they have all been fixed the same day we reported it. They have all been minor issues though - no big inconveniences.

Our floor plan - the Denali - is great. All of the rooms are quite spacious. The designs and details, like the arched entryways, crown molding, chandelier, etc are beautifully modern and just luxurious-looking.

This community is gated, but in the month that I've been here, one gate has always stayed open (maybe it's broken'). The gates are pretty noisy when they are opening/closing - they might just need a good squirt or two of WD-40. Other than that, the noise level is usually pretty low. I purposely chose to live on the top floor though, to avoid any potential of noisy upstairs neighbors.

The only real complaint that I have about Summit Crest is the absence of recycling bins. There's a large dumpster for cardboard, but that's it. A community of this size generates a ton of trash (the trash compactor is always overflowing on the weekends) and I'm sure half of that could be recycled.

I thought it was great when I first moved in, even though the move-in day itself left a lot to be desired. Also, Summit Properties has recently undergone a merger with another company and the staff has been to an orientation seminar which I think has improved them a bit. The mail room has been very well kept lately, for which I do commend the staff. I still cannot wait to move out. I have no assurance that the things that have gone wrong in this place will not happen again, and I simply cannot chance it.
