I first want to say that any apartment complex can be good depending on one's personal experience. Unfortunately for me I had a bad experience with Camden Crest. On the outside, everything looks nice, and the apartments are decent on the inside (look fairly new), but the main problem is the management. Anytime you want something done or fixed, management takes forever to get around to it, or it just doesn't get done. I had a terrible mold problem recently, and it took a leak through our floor into the apartment below us, for them to take action. I also left a key for them since they did not have a spare key, and they somehow lost it. I tried discussing a discount of some sort because our troubles and they could not accommodate one bit. I also campaigned multiple times to start a recycling program and no one has seemed to do a damn thing. I've talked to the management at the facility, and the manager of all the properties in Raleigh, and so far they haven't seemed to do anything. They do have recycling bins at any of their properties. That means there are a lot of people that aren t recycling. I even did all the leg work for them by talking to a person who works for the city of Raleigh recycling center, and she said it wouldn't even cost them anything to put out some recycling containers.

In summary, as long as you don't have any problems and never have to deal with managment, then you should be ok. But if you do good luck. Also I definitely wouldn't pay the listed rates. I think they are way too high for what you are getting. The rent I pay is $200 less then the quotes price. So try to talk them down. You can get a nicer place, with better managment in downtwon Raleigh.......where I am planning on moving too, Thank God.

YUP! Mold here too. I live there too. When it rains hard and for more than just a couple of hours, the water saturates the ceiling and walls creating a stained look. Their solution was to paint over it!! When they did finally come out here.

I just moved to an older apartment in downtown Raleigh and am much happier than I was at Camden Crest. It's amazing what a difference quality construction can make (the building I live in now is 100 years old and much quieter than my apartment in Camden). I too was really unhappy about the recycling situation (or lack thereof). Check your water bills - you are getting charged for recycling but not being provided access to it! Oh way, cardboard - big deal! We used to take ours to the bins at Barton Place, but what a pain. There is no excuse for this! We were also not happy with the way management handled noise complaints on regular offenders.
