After looking at the model, we were very impressed. Then we saw the apartment we were going to occupy....there was a strong urine smell as we walked in, 4 or 5 decent size urine stains on the living room carpet, and the kitchen was pretty dirty. My husband spoke with the manager and requested that the carpet be replaced and the place be spruced up a little bit. After talking with the manager, we were pretty much assured everything would be taken care of. About two days before our move in date, I decided to call to check on the status....Good thing I did! Nothing was done, except they tried to steam clean the carpet again...but it DIDN'T work. We said we were not going to take the place unless the carpet was replaced. The sales associate got very offensive and said he thought the place was in good condition but we could always put furniture over the urine stains. What kind of person would tell customers that'' He then proceeded to put words in my husbands mouth....very UNPROFESSIONAL! He even misrepresented himself as the Director. What a joke! It gets worse....he then said WE could replace the carpet at our own expense. Are you kidding' Do we want to pay for someone elses mess and pay for a carpet in a place we don't even own' Don't think so. Obviously, we weren't going to move in. This place is very unprofessional. I urge you to read the other ratings....alot of tentants are charged for the carpet at the end of their lease, they lose packages, the maintenance takes forever to address problems....I think they are charging people to replace the carpets, then not doing so, you figure it out. If you have been charged, I would make sure they did replace it. Ask for a receipt! This will not end here....my husband and I are going to seek legal action to get back the application fee and the rental truck fee, which we had to cancel. Luckily, we found another place. I guess it was a blessing in disguise. Do NOT rent from these unprofessional people. There are several other complexes within 2 miles, that far exceed this place.

yeah, but look at all the other comments... sounds typical of buiness as usual at carrington! we're living there now. I'll be SURE to post when we move out, whether it is a positive or a negative experience over all.
