This apartment complex, when I moved, in was barely 2 years old. I got an excellent rate od $618 for a large one bedroom apartment which I thought was spectacular!! The biggest benefit of this complex is that it comes with a washer and dryer pair you don't have to pay for. Now for the huge disadvantages:
Before signing a lease, I was told that the security gates were working most of the time. When they didn't, it only took a couple of days to fix them. From the time of living there for a year, they must have been broke a total of two months, all together. They take forever to fix them. THEN as if that wasn't enough, break ins and car robberies initiated. My car was almost broke into, which I had to pay for.
Second, there is a train on one side of the apartment complex that you have to hear day in and day out everyday.
Third, unfortunately, I lost my job. There were cut-offs and Jefferson at Cary Towne had no sympathy whatsoever. They wanted me to continue paying the rent and when I tried to break my lease, wanted to charge me the most outrageous fees!! How in the world do you expect me to pay those fees when I couldn't even afford my rent. No kind of understanding whatsoever. No respect from me AT ALL!!
Next, parking sucks!! They need to have residents get assigned parking so at the very least, those who live there can come home and not worry about parking a half a mile from your building late at night and concern themselves with being scared as they walk home. It sucks!
Lastly, the dog poop is definitely a problem. Neighbors there do not pit up there pet's droppings and the management does nothing about it.
Would not recommend this place to ANYONE!! On a scale of 1-10, give it a 2 and that is only for the price I got it for.
