I?ve read the other opinions regarding Cedar Springs, and I?m not surprised by the negativity. I?ve lived at Cedar Springs for several years, and as my rent continues to go up, the status of the complex continues to go down.

There has been a parking problem for a long time. It appears the only reason why Management decided to do something about it was because people were parking in the circle in front of the management building. When Management didn?t have a front door parking place, out came the parking permits. I haven?t noticed any change since the permits have been in place. You still have to parking several buildings away if you come home after 11:00 p.m. I also find it absurd that I have to plan ahead and know the make, model, color and tag number of any guest who I think may be staying past 1:00 a.m.

Every spring I get ants in my building. Management has told me they can do nothing about it, the ants are my fault because I have pets and the ants are coming in because of the pet food I have. I question this because in my lease it does cover pest control. I still haven?t gotten an answer on that.

There are lights on the landings of each floor, but not in the stairwells. I have encountered several times all the lights off on the landings coming in after dark. This happens at least once a month. I?ve complained, and yet it still keeps happening.

It is obvious to me that not only the Management but also the company who owns this complex has no respect for the tenants who live here. The apartments are big and roomy with a nice layout, but that is only positive thing I have to say about this place. If you are looking for a place to live, look elsewhere. I would not encourage anyone to move here, not even for a short time.
