I've lived at Cedar Springs for a year now and I only wish I had visited this site before signing my lease. The management is rude, and the new management is even ruder. I've had checks returned voided, and then told it was a mistake. I've found notes on my door claiming that I owe money (Alway's several hundred dollars) and after being treated rudely for making a fuss, told that there is no manager to address my issue or told that the previous management was responsible, they finally admit that it was a mistake. Apology after apology and then I get robbed. Find out from the officer that a woman was forced into her apartment and mugged two months earlier that they had been paying attention to the area. Then several motorcycles got stolen from the parking lot (One of which was mine. About $20,000 dollars worth between all three) and then a week later three cars end up with there windows smashed in.
If your lucky enough to be on the other side of the complex and escape the crime, just don't expect to recieve any packages. It took me a month to get them to admit they'd had my package all along and then they blamed the UPS man for putting it in the wrong spot!
How about the parking' Well they stopped towing because the parking lot they claimed was for visitors turned out not to be there property and one night my friend got towed for parking in the 'visitor parking'! Of course they wouldn't take responsiblity for that either, but where happy to give me a number to someone's voicemail who never returned my calls. But even now that that headache is gone the parking lot is cracked the lines are hardly visible, so every one just parks sideways, and I've gotten two flat tire in the last four months.
So you want to relax in the gym, well the foam padding is coming through and the plastic is ripped on most of the equipment. And on your walk home watch out for the tree limbs that hang three feet off the ground over the sidewalk.
Unless your sadistic AND too lazy to find a better deal (And believe me, thanks to the new 540 beltline there are PLENTY of better deals on brand new apartments.) This is not the place for you.
