I've lived here for almost 2 years and I'll be renewing my lease again, mostly because it's just too expensive for me, as a student, to move. My biggest complaint about my apartment is the noisy ducts from which the air and heat come out, it's SO loud. My other complaint is the Lakes Condos which backs up to Clarion. They are infested with noisy students who yell and set off fireworks anytime NCSU wins a game. The fitness center is kind of lame and the pool is always packed in the summer. I read the other review and my building is pretty quiet and doesn't have any shady residents and I haven't noticed cops coming around.

Parking isn't too bad although there have been times I've had to park in front of another building because the spots in front of my place are all full.

The staff is constantly changing, only one woman has been here for as long as I have. Rent prices are rather high for the age of the buildings. Move in specials are good but then when it's time to renew, whatever new special they give is based on the market rate of the apartment, not the rent you're currently paying. I've had one maintenance guy come by a couple times, he knows what he's doing but doesn't seem like he wants to fix whatever the problem is. Things are generally fixed the same day or the next at the latest.

I recommend this complex if you can get in a building that suits you. There are so many NCSU students living here that if you aren't the partying type but get next door to someone who does, you could be in for a miserable term of your lease.
