My husband job relocated us here to Raleigh,NC. We tour the Cumberland Cove apartments and was told so many wonderful things so we decided to sign a lease. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!! After moving in we had several problems with our neighbors upstairs.(Noise,Noise,Noise) It was horrible,you can smell people smoking through the walls,dog mess all over the place. After complaining and calling the Raleigh PD which we got to know each other by first names due to the many times I call. The apartment manager still failed to do anything. We never was late on our rent,always beleive to respect each other as neighbors.Oh well! Then I found out they fired the whole office staff and maintence guys and replaced them demons from hell. The manager never had any experience with leasing. I found a clause in the leased we sign that will release me from any responsibility for breaking my lease due to dissatisfaction. I highlighted it gave it to the manager and moved out 2 weeks later. I would not recommend this apartment to my mother-in-law or my worst enemy.

I am having issues with Cumberland Cove also. I have gone to the management several times and they have been very rude, even laughed at me when I said that the exterminator guy left my apartment unlocked. I would like to terminate my lease early. Where is the clause that you found in the contract? I have looked but I can't seem to find anything. Thanks.
