I have found Walnut Creek to be a great apartment for the money. The staff has been great to deal with, they always greet me with a smile and courtesy. When I have had a problem, it has been addressed promptly.

I was very surprised at how high the negative rating was but after reading some of the reviews I began to understand that they were from many first time renters. Also, how many people take the time to write a review when they are happy but make time when they have a complaint.

The pro's and cons

good neighbors
great pool parties

Cons: buildings are aging
sometimes parking can be limited
too many people with pets (i am not a
pet person)

I have lived in several aparments in the raleigh area and in other cities as well as work in various townhomes and communities. The majority of the complaints you see are simply whining. All apartments have a few problems in common: noise(it is in a college area), car break-ins(again, college area), and aging facilities. Also, all complexes tell you up front the terms of the lease and that you should invent in renters insurance in the event something happens.

All in all, I have found living here to be a pleasant experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment in the NCSU area.
