I am not connected to management or staff, and my experience hasn't been bad

Ok, so I see everyone's reviews here. I AM A REAL PERSON, and I HAVE NO CONNECTION TO THE MANAGEMENT/STAFF OF THE APARTMENTS! Please, anyone feel free to email me if you question that I have no connection to the office staff. I just wanted to let everyone know that ahead of time since there seems to be some question among many of the posts on here. I am Scott (I lived in building 3121, moving to 3211 building), I recently moved down here from Virginia. So, I realize that there are a lot of college students who are renting here, and I think that might be part of the reason for people's perceptions of the apartments. I previously rented several apartments in larger cities, and I can tell you, living in an apartment will NEVER be perfect. The things I am seeing written by people on this sight are nothing more than things you have to deal with when you are renting an apartment. How would these people make it in a city' I was glad to move in here, after living in a place where I did not have running water in my bathroom for over six months!!! (This really happened in a place where I lived in Northern Virginia, and the management would not fix the problem); also, in apartments, I have dealt with someone being shot in my front yard, a busted pipe that would pour water into my bathroom that was not fixed for 3 months, as well as many other problems. I was paying $800 (studio) and 1350/month for these 2 apartments that had these problems.
Living here for only a month so far, I had an issue with my apartment today - it was the hot water heater, as I see several persons make reference to in previous comments. I called the emergency line, and shortly afterwards, a maintenance man showed up here to help me out. I spoke with the management, and they were very willing to work with me, as well, they were very nice and friendly through the whole process. The staff is working with me on the process, and I feel overall that the entire experience has been positive. My new apartment is probably the nicest place I have lived since I left my parents house 7 years ago. The rent is very affordable, especially compared to what I am accustomed to paying (about 1/2 of what I would have expected to pay for a place like this in the northern Virginia or Hampton Roads areas). I am sorry that so many people have had bad experiences here, however, I feel that a lot of this would be perception, since it seems that many of the people who live in these apartments are younger. Experience has shown me that no matter how much I am going to pay in rent, it is not going to be like living in a house, or living at home with Mom and Dad. I am happy with my new home, and anyone can feel FREE to contact me if they have any questions about this. I will be glad to discuss my experience with anyone, and I will be 100% honest about the goods and bads about my experience. I would definitely recommend these apartments if anyone asked, and they were recommend to me when I was offered a job down here in this area.
Note : my email address appears suspicious because I use address guard through my regular Yahoo! account to minimize spam. feel free to email me, and I will be glad to prove that I am just a regular resident here.
