I moved here 1 1/2 years ago from another state to be with my boyfriend and I must say that the 1st year was fine. Our 1 bedroom apartment is on the end, kind of back in a corner and we seem to have gotten lucky to have quiet neighbors except for a family that lives downstairs who cause a little ruckus from time to time. But then about 6 months ago everything in our apartments started to break and it was extremely hard to get the office to do anything about it. Our fridge broke 3 times before they got us a new one. Our disposal broke, the toilet is still leaking even though they have "fixed" it at least twice. But my biggest complaint is the cockroaches! Our bathroom had mold growing through the wall and they came out 3 times to "fix" it but then it would keep coming back. I believe it is the mold in the walls that is causing the cockroach problem in the bathroom... and they are HUGE!!! I have to look for them every time I go in there. But I haven't seen them anywhere else in the apartment...except on the deck but I guess there isn't much you can do about that. Anyway, maybe if you budget right you can afford to find a nicer/cleaner place then this one.

I agree! I moved in from another state and I had problems right from the beginning. They do not fix anything in a timely fashion and even when they say they have fixed it, it still doesn't work. They do not get back to you and when you go to them with concerns they change the subject or go around it. They do not make an effort to make your living situation the best that it can be.

You should write a letter to the attorney general office consumer assistance division. If there is mold, they have only a short time to fix it properly. http://www.ncdoj.com/consumerprotection/cp_about.jsp

That's true, but they also need to exterminate. Both problems have to be fixed though in order for the problems to go away.
