Getting Better

I've lived at EC for almost 5 years now. I can honestly say that I've seen it through really good times and really bad times, and the state of the complex is directly related to the management. Ever since Colleen and Kerrie began managing, things are much better. The grounds are better kept, maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner and done right the first time, valet trash pickup is being offered at no additional cost to current residents, unregistered cars are quickly being removed from the parking lots, community events are taking place and the newsletter is being circulated again on a monthly basis. I live on the backside of the community and I have never had a problem with crime or feeling unsafe. The management is really starting to crack-down on issues that should have been addressed long ago, and while it may make things "tougher," it'll help eliminate the riff-raff (you know who you are). If rent is higher and more rules are in place, it'll keep the trash out! I'm thankful for that. My time at EC is coming to an end, as I'm getting married when my lease is up and will be buying a home. There are things that I will miss about the community, but I'm also glad to get away from typical renter clientelle. For those of you who have so many issues with this place, take better care of your living space, lock your dang car and apartment, don't stay out so late and be nice to the staff - you kill more flies with honey than vinegar.

Well written Greystar!
-Funny that the clubhouse has a security system while they remove ours. Everyone knows that safety is a top priority in every community. We dont even have the option of having it monitored. What a joke.
-Getting the simplest of maintenance requests complete take forever and a day. Your 24 "Not line" doesnt even exist. The phone just rings and rings. Well, heads up everyone. Just call their sister property after hours.
-The majority of the time, only 3 out of 5 washers work. Furthermore, they are filthy. I know, save the speech as to how I can rent a washer and dryer from you. You provide the facility so maintain it!
- I refered potential residents to visit the property, and half the time they are told by staff to wait or come back. How pathetic is that?
-You no longer send out any regular memo or newsletter to your residents. How do you communicate? This would show that they are appreciated and may alleviate some problems the property has where you can nip it in the bud.
-Internet Cafe'? Im still waiting!
-Expanded workout facility? Yeah, ok.
-Residents pay the water bill now. Fine. I dont need EC sweating me as to when to pay it. Its still running, and the check doesnt get written out to you. Then you post a letter on my door that you wont accept the rent until its paid. Please you always take my check anyway because you know that you legally dont have a leg to stand on with that one. Let the truth be told. EC pays for all the watter in advance and is actually the customer not the resident. Go strong arm someone else.
-Non residents take advantage of the few amenties that we have. Take the pool for instance. Mothers drive up and drop off their unattended children for endless hours of fun. Some of our residents even abuse the pool by drinking and leaving glass bottles. Where is our courtesy officer. You know the figment of everyone's imagination that you created.
-All this spring and summer, we have the "Beach Boys" blaring loud and sometimes inappropriate music 4 hours at a time. This is even during business hours. Management choose to ignore this because their workday has officially ended.
-We dont even get the same privelges as our sister properties. Plus I heard that EC was the property that was recognized for saving the most money. That is a math equation made easy. Hell, you dont spend any.
-If im going to live in the hood, then damn it I want the privelege of paying hood prices.
-This is the worst management company ever. John and Adyron should have stayed. But all Greystar does is micro-manage people and run them off. Step up! I can go on and on for days but Ive got better things to do and EC has wasted enough of my time already. Invest you dollars elsewhere good people.

Guess that just goes to show that no matter what kind of business you run, you can't make everyone happy all the time. If you're not happy at EC, LEAVE.

Just because the office doesn't monitor the alarms doesn't mean you cant have it hooked up. Or wait, you sound cheap you might not want to pay for that. haha, we got ours hooked up not long ago. Its only $7 extra a month, but that might be pushing your budget. The community is only as good as you make it. That office staff is not here to police, run around and do things to make sure you life is amazing. What if you bought a house, you going to call that realtor and complain to them about what happens at your house. Come on responder to this post think about this. Jamboree is my road, and I love it back there. My kids get right on the bus beside my house.
