Really Consider Your Options

I've been a resident of Edwards Mill for the past two years, renewing my lease because initially things were great. I really enjoyed the leasing staff. Howver, it did have it quirks, like the water leaking from the ceiling (apparently the upstairs air conditioning unit froze), the ants that visit in the summer, and the pool that could've really benefited from more chlorine (it still reeks of sunscreen and urine). Now, things have changed. Maintenance issues take days to complete. When you drive into the complex, you may notice refrigerators and stoves outside by the pool. Why' The appliances are old, and the apartment community refuses to update/replace them until they're practically dead. My stove still doesn't work correctly and maintenance has tried to fix it on countless occasions. Also, the walls are very thin. If I can hear my neighbors clearly, I am sure that they hear me. Finally, there are many children in the complex and no place for them to play. They tend to climb the trees and use sidewalk chalk in the parking lot - how stimulating!

Overall, I would strongly suggest that you consider all of your options before settling here. The complex is in walking distance to Stough Elementary, but other than that it's more conscious of the dogs than the kids.

I lived at Edwards Mill for 5 years and I primarily moved there because it allowed dogs. All I got was a bunch of kids running around unsupervised. For me, I prefer they give more credence to pet owners since we pay a full month's rent deposit. Why should kids get to run around unattended, set the woods on fire, and disturb me when I'm sleeping. I'm glad I moved! Kids are NOT the center of the universe!
