Have no doubt; once they've got you, you're screwed. There is one place to take trash, a fancy trash compactor right by the front of the complex. Of course, if you want to take your trash out, you've got to either put it in your car (yuck) or walk it a half mile to the compactor. That is, unless you live in the building right beside the compactor. Thank God I don't though, because then I'd have to put up with roaches and rats. That is, the only roaches I've seen are in the hands of the the teenagers who sit outside of that building puffing away when they should be in school. Those li'l rats congregate right outside that corner apartment, and it's now to the point where I won't even let my girl take the trash out because I'm worried about them saying something to her. I'd hate to have to go to jail for beating the tar out of some teenage gangbanger wannabe.
People in the office just want to be left alone. I've worked with people like that, and it's horrible. The fact is, they are here to serve people who are looking for an apartment. They don't give a flying f*ck about people whom they already have in the web, people who have already signed their souls away in a lease. I walked up there the other day with a little cardboard box about the size of a baseball, and I asked if they could put it in outgoing mail for me. Nope. As if it were an impossible request.
The grounds are poorly maintained. The -------- who trim the trees and bushes must be about four feet tall, because everyone else has to duck walking down the sidewalk. One time I saw a guy outside with a pair of shears cutting a tree back himself because he was tired of running into the trees. I cheered. He waved. We shared a bit of a moment.
And parking. Why on Earth would you have visitor parking as every other parking space' Why' I mean, give 'em a section. Every other space makes no sense. What ends up happening is that the section fills up twice as fast and you have to walk twice as far.
I will say this. Dave in the maintenance department is a nice guy. He's knowledgeable too.
