Not worth the price

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
This apartment was new, rather spacious and each bedroom had its own bathroom. It was also rather convenient to shopping, NCSU, and wolfline and city buses. But these were the only good points. There was next to no parking! People were forced to park on Gorman St. and had their cars broken into. I lived on the third floor and yet my room was always freezing. I'm guessing the building was cheaply made and had bad insulation. The walls are also paper thin. Either you have one of the rooms facing the street, which can be very noisy, or you have the one that is against the breezeway and you can hear people walking, talking, and yes, vomiting outside. Most of the neighbors were pretty decent people but the people directly across the breezeway were the kegger types. They would have ridiculous numbers of people over most weekends (and occasionally durring the week), playing loud music, and trashing the place. Management did nothing but post flyers asking them not to. Big help that was.
Maintenence was horrible! The day I moved in (in August) the railing on the stairs was broken. When did they fix it' December and during finals week too. So I was woken up early by the sound of pounding as they installed the railing to my wall. Wonderful. I also had a problem with the ac and when I called maitenence they came right out, but miswired the new unit and took a week to come back.
Trust me, it's not worth the price unless you're living off Mommy and Daddy or feel like having keggers without any problems.
