Grosvenor is a wonderful place, at least, it has been for me and most of the people I've known here. I lived at Grosvenor in the 90s, moved out of state, and I chose to move back to Grosvenor when I returned to NC. The apartments were actually in better shape 11 years later, which is saying something. Management takes great pride in maintaining the buildings and apartments. Apartment floors are frequently refinished on moveout, and old plaster has been replaced with fresh dry wall and paint. Neighbors are friendly and considerate for the most part. I've heard a few complain of noise, but noisy residents are usually encouraged not to renew leases. Management wants happy residents. Apartment get-togethers are not uncommon. One resident started a monthly movies-on-the-lawn this summer, and it was quite popular. Considering Raleigh offers little for single folks who want quality AND affordability, Grosvenor is a jewel. I also like being close to downtown. The nearby neighborhoods are historic and wonderful for walking. Cameron Village, which have been completely transformed, is within walking distance, as are coffee shops and the new hot spots downtown. I've never had any problems with management; any complaints I've had were addressed quickly and appropriately. Management -- both the apartment manager and the leasing agent at VG Murray seem genuinely interested in my feedback on the apartments. I feel proud having friends and family come to my apartment, and people are always impressed with the quality and character of the apartments. I can't say enough good things! I will say that if you are interested in an apartment at Grosvenor and there's an opening -- act fast. Apartments don't stay empty long here.
