A nice place to live.

Ivy Commons has been great since Ammons-Pittman has taken over the service contract for most of the condominiums. AP took over in late 2002 and has been very responsive to resident concerns in all aspects. They are quick to resolve problems and let residents know what is happening in the area.

Ivy Commons is located in a very student-dense area, very close to NC State University, but is not student housing. Traditional leases (not individual) tend to steer the community mostly toward family units and quiet students. I have had only minimal concerns about other tenants, but they were dealt with quickly.

Maintence is handled on an as-needed basis. Upon moving in, we had a problem with our Washer/Dryer and a new unit was purchased and delivered within 2 days.

Units come with stacked washer/dryer, dishwasher, disposal, refrigerator, carpet, and blinds. One bedroom and two bedroom units are available, each with patio or balcony/outdoor storage.

In summary, Ivy Commons is a good place to live for quiet students who do not mind or enjoy living without the rules imposed by student-oriented communities or extras such as individual leases, fitness centers, pools, and parking restrictions.
